Dianna Krall-Produced Streisand's Album 'Love Is The Answer' At No 1

New York (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Acclaimed musician Diana Krall is enjoying the success of the first record she has produced for another artist, Barbra Streisand's 'Love Is The Answer,' which makes its debut at No 1 on the Billboard 200 this week.
For 'Love Is The Answer,' Streisand "did it Krall's way" according to the Associated Press, and Krall's influence is tangible: "Krall set Streisand's vocals against both lush orchestral settings and intimate jazz-quartet arrangements" (USA Today), two hallmarks of Krall's own work.

Krall has also been praised for taking risks and stepping outside of the comfort zone; "producers Diana Krall and Tommy LiPuma aren't afraid to explore the effects of time upon a supernatural voice...these song choices and arrangements test its limits, but the result is emotionally powerful - and endearingly human" (USA Today).

Krall's own 'Quiet Nights' (Verve) debuted at No 3 on the Billboard 200 in April, 2009, a career best for the GRAMMY-winning artist.
