Having recently relocated to New York, Beats has been rubbing shoulders with stars, with plans to go into the studio shortly. In the meantime, the artist has looked to France to package his own projects with unique videos. He also inked 2 sponsorship deals: 8 and 9 Clothing, Platform NYC. The release of his first mix-tape project ''David E Beats Blvd'' (May 2009) waved very positive reviews with smash singles "Walk In" dedicated to the underdog receiving radio plays(i.e: 89.9 FM in North Carolina) and the song 'Her features' ,an ode to women. In June and August 2009, David E Beats had 2 Open Mic Showcase Tour in New York City with live performances at Voodoo Lounge and the infamous Bowery Poetry Club.
