LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/
20th Century Fox) - AVATAR: MUSIC FROM THE MOTION PICTURE, the official score album companion to Oscar-winning filmmaker
James Cameron's epic motion picture adventure, will be released digitally and physically December 15th (available internationally on December 14th), from Atlantic Records. The album, which features music composed and conducted by Academy Award-winner James Horner (Titanic), will be highlighted by the film's end title song, 'I See You,' performed by multiple Grammy Award-nominated singer Leona Lewis, and produced by James Horner and Simon Franglen, the team behind Titanic's blockbuster theme song, 'My Heart Will Go On.' A live action film with a new generation of special effects, AVATAR takes us to a spectacular world beyond imagination, where a reluctant hero embarks on an epic adventure, ultimately fighting to save the alien world he has learned to call home. James Cameron first conceived the film 15 years ago, when the means to realize his vision did not yet exist. Now, after four years of production, AVATAR, delivers a fully immersive cinematic experience of a new kind, where the revolutionary technology invented to make the film disappears into the emotion of the characters and the sweep of the story.
AVATAR stars Sam Worthington (Terminator Salvation), Zoë Saldana (Star Trek), Michelle Rodriguez (Lost, Fast & Furious), and Sigourney Weaver (Aliens, Galaxy Quest). The film is written by James Cameron and produced by Cameron and Jon Landau.
