The 2010 edition of 'Premio Lo Nuestro a la Misica Latina' will be broadcast by the Univision Network on February 18, 2010, from 8-11 pm ET/PT (7-10 pm Central) LIVE from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, FL.

Today the company also announced it is growing its partnership with Nielsen Broadcast Data Systems (BDS), the world's leading provider of airplay tracking for the entertainment industry. Under the agreement, Nielsen BDS became Univision's direct source to help determine the 'Premio Lo Nuestro 2010' nominees, which were eligible for the time period of October 1, 2008 to September 30, 2009. 'Premio Lo Nuestro' winners will continue to be determined by popular vote.

With finalists in 35 categories divided into the 5 most popular Latin music genres of pop, tropical, regional Mexican, rock and urban, along with the 'Video of the Year,' the upcoming awards gala will include a new and first ever 'Entertainer of the Year' (Artista Premio Lo Nuestro del Apo) category, as well as a new 'Collaboration of the Year' (Colaboracion del Apo) that will consolidate nominations to include artists from all genres.

Popular reggaeton duo Wisin y Yandel follow with five nominations in such categories as 'Album of the Year,' 'Artist of the Year' and two nominations for 'Song of the Year' in the Urban music genre. In addition, Wisin y Yandel are nominated along with Aventura and Akon in the 'Collaboration of the Year' category for their song 'It's All Up To You.' Following with four nominations each are legendary Mexican crooner Vicente Fernandez, award-winning salsa singer Luis Enrique, the iconic Regional Mexican music bands Banda el Recodo and La Arrolladora Banda el Limon, urban music sensation Flex, and the popular merengue group Grupo Manva.

Artists with three nominations each include golden girl Paulina Rubio, Puerto Rican salsa legend Gilberto Santa Rosa, popular singer/songwriter Ricardo Arjona, Regional Mexican idols El Chapo de Sinaloa and Espinoza Paz, Spanish pop-rock duo La Quinta Estacion, Puerto Rican rock group La Secta Allstar, up and coming bachata sensations Dominic Marte and the duo Carlos y Alejandra, and reggaeton artist Tito 'El Bambino.'
