PORTLAND, OR. (Top40 Charts/ Capitol Records) - Portland Oregon's Hockey return to road this month to play a series of holiday radio shows and a string of January west coast dates. The quartet who released their debut album Mind Chaos (Capitol Records) in October kicked off their current run in Kansas City, MO and play shows through Jan. 18th in San Diego, CA (full schedule below). Hockey's first single 'Too Fake' is climbing the alternative radio airplay chart where it currently sits at >5. The video which has been played on Fuse, MTVU and Music Choice was just added to MTV2 with spins beginning this week.

Hockey has spent 2009 jetting back and forth between Europe and the U.S. for non-stop touring which included major U.S. festivals such as SXSW, Sasquatch, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza and CMJ. They performed 'Too Fake' on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon this past October. They have toured the UK with both Passion Pit and Friendly Fires before headlining their own early Fall tour in the region. They have also played nearly every major European festival including Glastonbury, Hove, Peace and Love, Eurockenees, Solidays, Oxegen, T In The Park and Gurtenfestival, Leeds and Reading. They performed on major UK television shows 'Later With Jools Holland' and 'Live From Abbey Road,' and were nominated for their first major award in the Best Push Artist category for the 2009 MTV European Video Music Awards.

Formed in Los Angeles five years ago by founders Ben Grubin, lead singer, and Jeremy 'Jerm' Reynolds on bass, HOCKEY is now based in Portland, Oregon as a quartet with Brian White on guitar, and Anthony Stassi on drums.
