NEW YORK (Deftones Official Website) - Deftones' missed a Summer Sanitarium date in Minneapolis on July 27 when singer Chino Moreno suffered a "severe groin pull." The band has had to cancel several more headlining dates due to Moreno's injury, including Tuesday's (August 5) show in Salt Lake City, Utah and Wednesday's (August 6) performance in Boise, Idaho. Deftones will honor their remaining Summer Sanitarium appearances--the next stop is Thursday (August 7) in Seattle--and hope to reschedule the headlining shows they were forced to cancel. The Summer Sanitarium tour, which also features Mudvayne, Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, and headliners Metallica, wraps up Sunday (August 10) in San Francisco. Deftones are touring in support of their self-titled album which was released in May. The band has tentative plans to tour with A Perfect Circle later this fall, though no dates have been confirmed. Deftones will take a short break after Summer Sanitarium before kicking off a two-week tour of Europe on September 16. Deftones have announced the details about this Friday's video shoot in Los Angeles. The band is shooting a live performance for the album's next single, "Hexagram," and they're inviting fans in the area to participate. Deftones are instructing fans to go to 4226 Valley Fair Street (The Skatelab Warehouse) in Simi Valley, between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. PT. Filming will take place between 5 and 7 p.m. PT. The album, Deftones, features the single "Minerva," which is storming the Top 40 Charts World Modern Rock Chart and Mp3.com chart.
