Goodwill Ambassador Awards and Holiday CD Release Party Fundraiser on December 17, 2009. The red carpet event will be held at the famed EastWest Studios (6000 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles) from 7 PM until Midnight, and will also honor other community leaders.
This very special event presented by Face The Music Records and sponsored by EastWest Studios will bring together many music greats including Jackson Browne, Andy Vargas (Santana), and Inara George (The Bird and the Bee, Merrick), as well as some of the artists who recorded songs for the Holiday Collection CD which featured Billy Idol, Sheila E., Jimmy Webb, Peabo Bryson, and members of Little Feat. The evening will be hosted by actress/comic/writer, Carla Collins.
"The Safety Harbor Kids Holiday Collection CD was a collaborative effort between the musicians, Face The Music record label, and our distributor Authentik Artists, as a fundraiser for our organization," commented SHK co-Founder and President Petrie Alexandra Williams. "We are excited about this inaugural Goodwill Ambassador Awards Ceremony and extremely grateful to all of the individuals and businesses who have supported us in this effort."
A tax-deductible donation of $350 per person is requested to attend the event, which sponsors one child for one year of College, Career and the Arts Education. The evening will feature live musical performances by many of the artists featured on the CD, comedy from host Carla Collins, acrobatics and other entertainment. All proceeds will directly benefit Safety Harbor Kids and their educational programs.
