Rakim's Album Named In The Best Hip Hop Albums Of 2009

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (Top40 Charts/ SMC Recordings) - SMC Recordings Inc. reports that iTunes has just announced their Top Hip Hop Albums for 2009 and Rakim's "The Seventh Sea" was on the list! Rakim has brick placement on the Hip Hop page of the iTunes music store.

In addition to the confirmation of Rakim's excellence, this week Apple's iTunes storefront offered another milestone for the growing company. SMC's partnership with MixMatchMusic's MobBase to create iPhone applications for their artists has finally come to fruition. iPhone applications for The Jacka, Killer Mike and Town Thizzness (a breeding ground for hot new artists) is now available for free download via the Apple iTunes Store or directly from your iPhone.

The new iPhone applications allow exclusive access to SMC artists. A user can stream their entire musical catalog, watch music videos, check news, photos, twitter and other social networks related to the artists. The applications are being constantly updated with new content.
