Oak Lawn IL. (Top40 Charts/ Brewski Bros Official Website) - Back in 1971 an Oak Lawn Illinois Rock band called "Woodlind" Recorded an album at the Legendary Pumpkin Recording Studio in Chicago's South Suburbs. The band believed that the album would be their ticket to stardom. It had promise for sure. After months of painstaking work creating and laying down an orchestrated album on the four tracks available at that time, Woodlind completed their undertaking; a fourteen song double record album running nearly an hour long.

It was the summer of '72 and there was lots going on in the world however; before Woodlind got a chance to promote and release their album, they band dispersed and disappeared into the mayhem of the 70's. The tapes from those sessions dispersed and disappeared as well. They faded too into obscurity, and were assumed to be lost forever

Quite Recently the tapes were accidentally discovered from a place where they had been resting undisturbed for some 37 years. The songs were re-mastered by former Woodlind Guitarist Gary Wesselhoff, and are now in process of an electronic distribution channel where they will finally be publicly availability for the first time.

The untitled album came to be known as "The Lost Pumpkin Studio Sessions" are a snapshot of a time not long gone, and yet so far away.' It really is a remarkable work. Woodlind used a string quartet on many of the songs. It has a "Moody Blues" feel to it' said Album Producer Gary Costantino. 'It is somewhat dated but still is applicable in these times. Many of the songs and expressions are simply beautiful'

The album was recorded by Grammy Nominated Gary Loizzo (formerly of the American Breed [Bend Me Shape Me]) Whose studio in Oak Lawn generated several multi-platinum STYX albums.

EVENT:
On Saturday February 6th, 2010, an Oak Lawn Acoustic Duo called "The Brewski Bros." will host a CD release party for Woodlind and "The Lost Pumpkin Studio Sessions" CD at the Goal Post Pub in Oak Lawn. Brewski Bro. Gary Wesselhoff was a former member of Woodlind. The celebration will begin at 8:00pm with music by the Brewski Bros. and with special guest appearances from members of the Original and the mid-70's reformed Woodlind Bands.
After thirty-seven years, this project will finally have closure.
