NEW YORK (Aretha Franklin Official Website) - Aretha Franklin has recruited hip-hop star Mary J Blige for two songs on her new album.

So Damn Happy - her first LP since 1998's A Rose Is Still A Rose - features 11 new tracks, and is set for release this autumn.
The first single to be taken from the album will be The Only Thing Missin'.
Franklin has also teamed up with lyricist Burt Bacharach on several songs.

Aretha will be showcasing tracks from the album during her US tour, beginning in New York on August 22.
