Shania Twain announces first dates of Up! tour

NEW YORK (Shania Twain Fans Website) - Shania Twain has announced the schedule for her first worldwide concert tour in more than three years. The initial 18 dates on Twain's Up! tour include 12 U.S. concerts, primarily on the east coast.

Sept. 27, Ottawa
Sept. 29, Pittsburgh
Sept. 30, Buffalo, N.Y.
Oct. 2, Toronto
Oct. 4, Grand Rapids, Mich.
Oct. 7, Boston
Oct. 8, East Rutherford, N.J.
Oct. 10, Philadelphia
Oct. 11, Albany, N.Y
Oct. 12, Uniondale, N.Y.
Oct. 14, New York City
Oct. 17, Washington, D.C.
Oct. 24, Detroit
Oct. 28, St. Paul, Minn.
Dec. 4, Calgary, Alberta
Dec. 5, Edmonton, Alberta
Dec. 7, Vancouver, British Columbia.
Tickets for the Canadian dates will go on sale Friday (Aug. 22).
Most of the U.S. dates go on sale Saturday (Aug. 23). The Uniondale and New York City tickets go on sale Aug. 25.

Twain says, "I want the show to be a huge party. The stage will be set up in a way that puts me in the middle of my fans, which is right where I want to be. You can expect a lot of surprises." Additional U.S. and Canadian concerts will be announced in the near future. Her NBC-TV special, Shania Twain Up! Live in Chicago, airs oday (Tuesday).
