New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ RoadRunner Records) - Melodic metal sextet Mutiny Within have worked hard to get to this day: the release of their first-ever record. While you can follow their journey right here and learn more about where this NJ-via-England band comes from, today is all about giving a listen to the ass-kicking labor of love that is Mutiny Within.

But don't take our word for it. Here's what the critics are saying:

thedailyrock.com: "Give me a band with a strong and ranged front man and the giant smile will be written all over my face. MUTINY WITHIN a new band on Roadrunner Records displays that with an extreme power of melody, a mystical ambiance, metal shredding and technical prowess. Some people may think a band using keys in the music has already been played out but my heart still melts listening to that beauty and elegance they bring to a bands sound."

Lambgoat.com: "Mutiny Within's brand of friendly, yet progressive metalcore will appeal to droves of people who like their metal safe and sugary. I know it sounds like I'm about to berate this album, but it's not as queasy as it could have been. I have to give credit to vocalist Chris Clancy... If you're going to insert a clean, sing-along verse/chorus combination in every song, you might as well find someone with strong pipes.

To give you an idea of what to expect, the vocals are 80% clean. It's a refreshing approach to take. Personally, I roll my eyes whenever I hear up-and-coming bands trying to outscream each other. The guitars are technical and melodic. There is a scholarly solo trade-off planted in the middle of each track."

blistering.com: "Unlike many cross-pollinated musicians who dabble in clean melodic vocals, English import Chris Clancy leans more on his convincing middle and slightly higher range, combining an addictive and fierce edge to songs like 'Forsaken' and 'Oblivion.' The guitar playing weaves in a lot of thrash, death and neo-classical/ progressive conventions, the solos combine the mastery of many European and American axe talents (Alexi Laiho, Jeff Loomis, Michael Amott come to mind)... I think this six-piece could become America's answer to Mercenary and I'm curious to watch their development over the years."

thenewreview.net: "To say that Mutiny Within's brand of metalcore is infectious would be an understatement. Their debut album takes every awesome aspect of metalcore and then multiplies it tenfold... The first thing you'll notice about this album is not the technically sound, aggressive, and chunky guitars. No, you'll notice the voice of lead man Chris. I have never in my long career as a metal fan, ever heard such amazing vocals. Chris can delve low and growl with the best of them, and then a millisecond later, take his voice high enough to give any soul diva a run for her money. His range is absolutely insane."

metalexiles.com: "MW are extremely talented, with time to get all that much better. Uber technical guitar work, with a hardcore meets Swedish death metal vibe, makes a solid platform for Chris Clancy to deliver a top notch performance... I have a feeling that this one will be at the top of a few lists this year, as the songs are catchy, memorable and transition nicely into one another. Roadrunner always has a few diamonds in the rough, and Mutiny Within are gleaming."
