Queen of the dessert sessions

NEW YORK (QOTSA Fans Website) - If you haven't heard of the "Desert Sessions" you soon will. Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age has be hand picking his musician friends over the years to come to his desert studio and jam. The result has been four CDs filled with stoner rock.
Past players have included Dave Grohl, Mark Lanegan and Soundgarden's Ben Sheppard.

But for "Desert Sessions Vol. 9&10" out October 7th , Homme has upped the ante, inviting PJ Harvey and ex-Marilyn Manson guitar player Twiggy to the party.

It's more schizophrenic than my Queens records," Homme told Rolling Stone. "But it's not castoffs at all. I put the same amount into it that I would a Queens record, it just has to be faster."
