NY (Top40 Charts) - Lit returns to the road in September with Handsome Devil in tow for a trek in support of its forthcoming, third album Atomic.

The tour will kick off on Sept. 9 in Providence, R.I., and wrap up with a surprise show on Oct. 13. Handsome Devil, which is signed to Lit's own RCA-distributed Dirty Martini label, will not appear on the first two dates of the tour in Providence and Old Bridge, N.J.

Atomic, which earlier had the working title of Payola Amigos, is due Oct. 16 on Dirty Martini/RCA Records, with the first single being "Lipstick and Bruises." Handsome Devil's Love and Kisses from the Underground is due on the label on Sept. 25.

In other Lit news, the band will perform at the Gravity Games with the Mighty Mighty Bosstones and Smash Mouth on Sept. 7-9 in Providence, R.I. Lit will perform on Sept. 9 with Sound of Urchin opening; Smash Mouth on Sept. 8 with Unwritten Law opening; and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones on Sept. 7 with Riddlin' Kids opening.
