New York, NY (TOP40/ Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Days before Eden Brent, the Greenville, MS piano protege of the late Delta blues boogie-woogie piano legend Boogaloo Ames, was to record her dazzling new album 'Ain't Got No Troubles' in New Orleans, she was relaxing at a local performance by her younger sister Bronwynne, also a musician. Brent was captivated by one song in particular - the enchanting lullaby 'Goodnight Moon', written by Americana songwriters Will Kimbrough and Gwil Owen. Later that week, Brent was only warming up with the song during the recording session at Piety Street Studios, but everyone present unanimously agreed it sounded too good not to keep and it became the album's coda. "Goodnight Moon" reflects Eden Brent's deep well of musical knowledge and the wide range of influences she brings to her phenomenal new record. Wall Street Journal has called Eden Brent "a force to reckon with...aggressive, sultry, hot and cool." In May, Brent received the Blues Music Award for Pinetop Perkins Piano Player of the Year and dedicated it to her longtime mentor Abie "Boogaloo" Ames. In 2009, Brent was nominated for four Blues Music Awards. Brent took home trophies for Acoustic Album of the Year and Acoustic Artist of the Year and brought the crowd to its feet with her take-no-prisoners performance: https://bit.ly/edenbrentyoutube More on Eden Brent: https://yellowdogrecords.com/eden https://www.edenbrent.com/ https://shorefire.com/clients/ebrent/
