Austin, TX (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - One of the heartfelt tracks on 14-time GRAMMY winner Ricky Skaggs' inspired and inspirational album 'Mosaic,' out August 24 on Skaggs Family Records, is "Return To Sender."
The track's simple melody (not to be confused with the song written by Winfield Scott and Otis Blackwell and performed by Elvis Presley) brings together the album's full-band sound with an orchestra and male chorus.
Guitar licks by Gordon Kennedy and the haunting notes of a penny whistle punctuate Ricky's mandolin picking as he sings gently but emotionally: "Write with chisel when I'm gone/ 'Return to Sender' on my stone."

Skaggs worked with fellow GRAMMY winner Kennedy (Eric Clapton, Garth Brooks, Bonnie Raitt) to create an album that mixes elements of country music with Beatles-esque melody and lyrics. On 'Mosaic,' Skaggs and Kennedy take mandolin, banjo, acoustic guitar and violin and mix them with percussion, a hammered dulcimer, a string section, bagpipes, a bouzouki, electric guitar, keyboards, slide guitar and more.
