Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ Eileen Koch And Company) - Known for creating the world's only playable chromatic santour, composer and musician Kourosh Zolani (www.kouroshzolani.com) floods the Internet radio arena, broadening his scope of listeners while receiving international acclaim. Aiming to bridge the gap between traditional and contemporary music with the entirely new sounds of the chromatic santour, this recent development confirms growing acceptance of his distinct art form.

Zolani transformed the landscape of classical Persian music through his unique instrumental invention, and his music is now streaming on various Internet radio stations, including: All About Jazz / AJJ Radio, BLIP.fm, Ivvox, iSound, Last.fm, Magnatune, Mog, Napster and Yahoo! Music. He has also been featured in several Iranian TV and radio appearances, including: "Do-Re-Mi" (MELI TV), KIRN and KRSI.

During his music composition studies at the University of Art in Tehran, Zolani conceived a new tuning system for the ancient Iranian instrument, which transformed it from its diatonic form to allow for more chromatic versatility. This new technique allows the instrument to be played in more complex orchestrations.

Since receiving his degree in film scoring from UCLA's School of Entertainment, Zolani travels the world performing in high-profile concerts everywhere from Washington, D.C. to the ancient Roman city of Jerash in Jordan, while composing original scores for motion pictures on the side.

In November 2009, Zolani released a collection of his original work, "Memoirs of Sangesar," which received worldwide acclaim. (View the music video on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jeG8J9cGdiU.) He also received a number of awards for his first album, "Peaceful Planet" (2003). Both albums are available for purchase on CDBaby at https://www.cdbaby.com/Artist/KouroshZolani1.
