New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ RYTONE Entertainment) - Electronic artist/producer Ryan Farish and musician
Paul Hardcastle digitally release their new single, 'Reflections,' today on RYTONE Entertainment. The collaboration was quick - only about a week - and the end result is a smooth electronic tune that blends Hardcastle's brilliant sensibility for smooth sounds with Farish's expertise in electronic music and production.
'Paul is really great. It's such an honor to create music with this man, who is at the top of the who's who list of instrumental artists,' Farish said.
'Reflections' is available digitally on iTunes, Amazon and Rhapsody, to name a few.
Farish also just released the single, 'Perfect Clarity,' just three months after his latest studio album, "Bloom," hit Amazon's Top 100 Selling Albums chart in its debut week. This track is a step away from his signature electronic beats and features more of a dance tempo mix.
Earlier this month, he was appointed advisor to the board of The Recording Academy Washington, D.C. Chapter. Farish has been a member of The Recording Academy for six years and will serve his capacity as advisor for a year.
'It's a tremendous honor for me to have been appointed by NARAS to serve this year as advisor. The music industry is going through such a change. I'm absolutely honored to be able to be involved with the Chapter during such critical and exciting times for the music industry,' Farish said about his appointment as advisor.
Ryan Farish released his first full-length album a decade ago. The Virginia native has been able to cross genres, thanks to collaborations with fellow musicians like Donna Lewis and Trin-i-tee 5:7. In 2008, he garnered a Grammy nomination and received a Dove Award. The award-winning songwriter/producer/ composer/multi-instrumentalist's music has also been featured on numerous TV shows and movies. As of April 2010, more than 1,000 listener-supported YouTube videos helped him reach 34 million views.
English artist Paul Hardcastle began his music career in the '80s, garnering praise for dance numbers like synth/electro-funk infused 'Don't Waste My Time' and 'The Wizard,' as well as more recent smooth jazz tunes 'Northern Lights' and 'Lost in Space.' He won the Billboard Smooth Jazz Artist of the Year award in 2008.
