Rain Perry Takes On Bob Seger!

New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Rain Perry has won several songwriting prizes, including the grand prize in the folk division at the 2000 John Lennon Songwriting Competition. But the Ojai, California singer-songwriter also has a great affection for unusual covers. On 'Internal Combustion,' out 9.21 on Precipitous Records, Perry takes on Bob Seger's "Till It Shines."

"I feel it's an underrated gem," Perry says, "and oddly perfect for a chick singer." She and producer Mark Hallman (Ani DiFranco, Eliza Gilkyson, Carole King) reworked the sound to be more current than the original twin electric guitars.
