New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Three-time Grammy winner Rene'e Fleming is beloved by classical and opera fans around the world, but the superstar soprano has also earned the admiration of a new generation of singers and songwriters.
That Fleming chose to cover one of his songs on her thrilling new album "Dark Hope" (Decca) "makes me blush a bit," admitted Band of Horses' Ben Bridwell to the Wall Street Journal. "Now I can actually listen to that song for once."

Rufus Wainwright, who performed with Fleming on Elvis Costello's television program 'Spectacle,' was more than a little excited when she turned up at one of his shows.
"I feel like I'm in Alice in Wonderland and I better be good for the Queen," he remarked to a New York Magazine reporter before taking the stage. Members of Muse, another band whose work Fleming performs on her new album, have even been spotted in the audience at her shows.

Fleming's new album, 'Dark Hope,' finds her exploring a parallel universe via songs by Arcade Fire, Band of Horses, Leonard Cohen, Death Cab for Cutie, Jefferson Airplane, The Mars Volta, Muse and others.
The album debuted on the Billboard Top 200 and has warranted two arts cover stories in the New York Times, a cover profile in the LA Times, and interviews with the Wall Street Journal and SPIN online.
