New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Warner Bros. Records) - Avenged Sevenfold, whose new album, Nightmare, will be released by Warner Bros. Records today, will take over MTV2's rock programming during the week of July 26th. The band will host "Headbangers' Ball" and "Rock the Deuce" all week.

The official video for "Nightmare," the album's first single and title track, premiered on MTV2, MTV.com, and MTV2.com on July 17th and became the second most popular video on YouTube, racking up more than 1,280,865 views last week. (Watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94bGzWyHbu0. The "lyric" video that premiered via YouTube at www.avengedsevenfold.com has racked up three million views. "Nightmare" has sold more than 145,000 digital singles and is currently at No. 3 on Mediabase's Active Rock radio chart.

"In honor of all the fans around the world who have supported us during this difficult year, and throughout our career, we are excited to announce we are broadcasting a special live concert webcast this Saturday, July 31, at 7 PM EST from Syracuse, NY," said the band.

The band will be performing songs from Nightmare, which was produced by Mike Elizondo (Dr. Dre, Eminem) and mixed by noted engineer Andy Wallace. In August, Avenged Sevenfold will set out co-headlining the first annual Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival with Disturbed. Also on the bill are Stone Sour, Halestorm, and Hell Yeah. The UPROAR tour, which will hit amphitheatres and arenas, marks the band's first tour since the passing of Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan. Mike Portnoy from Dream Theatre plays drums on Nightmare and will also tour with the band for UPROAR.
