Tucson, AZ (Top40 Charts/ 2nd Saturdays Downtown) - The fourth installment of downtown Tucson's free, monthly community event takes place on August 14 and continues to build on the success of the previous events, which have enlivened downtown with crowd estimates at 10,000! Featuring eclectic street performers, artisan and food vendors, and a main stage at Scott Avenue, the entertainment spans along Congress Street from Hotel Congress to Hotel Arizona and side streets in-between. Most activities are completely free and family friendly!

The Fox Theatre hosts Celebrate Tucson, a free concert paying tribute to the myriad cultures that give Tucson its flavor. Performances include local artists Gabriel Ayala, Salvador Duran, Olga Flores, Gospel Workshop of America (Tucson chapter), Los Gallegos, Mariachi Sonido de Mexico and Sticks & Fingers. The show is in conjunction with 2nd Saturdays, Tucson Meet Yourself and Tucson's 235th birthday.

The Scott Avenue main stage (At Broadway Blvd) showcases top-notch local bands, with Roll Acosta (Acoustic/Pop/Rock) opening the show at 6:30pm, followed by Triple Double Band (Psychedelic/Reggae/Swing) at 7:45pm. Headliners The Tryst (contenders for the 2010 Tucson Area Music Awards for best jazz band, best female vocalist and best horn player), wraps up the evening with their funky, jazzy tunes, starting at 9:15pm.

The Hotel Arizona, 181 W. Broadway Blvd., welcomes powerhouse trio Holmes-Levinson Group playing sultry blues & jazz from 9:30pm-12:30am. The hotel also will provide free parking to its lounge guests along with drink and food specials.

Most club venues will be open early and many of the restaurants, bars and merchants in the area will have 2nd Saturday discounts and specials. The Indian Trading Post lot at Scott and Congress will be a drop in movie and refreshment site and continues to host video game "Rock Band" competitions for all ages!

The event also includes art activities for children, along with demonstrations by Capoeira Brasil Tucson, beat boy acrobatics by Les Avenge and Zumba by Andrea Gonzalez.
