SAN FRANCISCO, CA. (Top40 Charts/ SMC Recordings) - SMC Recordings Inc. (PINKSHEETS: SMCE) act The Pack released their newest album "Wolfpack Party" to some stellar early numbers. Debuting at No 7 on the iTunes Rap/Hip Hop chart, the number one music retailer in the U.S. They were joined on the charts by such industry heavy weights as Eminem, Lil Wayne and B.O.B. The MtvU channel premiered The Pack's new video for their single "Wolfpack Party" on their release day and played it at the top of each hour. MtvU is a division of Viacom's MTV Networks and is available on more than 750 college and university campuses across the United States, as well as to several digital cable packages. It reaches nearly 9 million U.S. college students - making it the largest, most comprehensive television network just for college students. This is right in line with their fan base as XXL Magazine noted in a recent review, "Wolfpack Party serves up the perfect soundtrack to the frat party and hood club." "This is a very exciting start to our fall schedule of releases. The initial success of The Pack is a real tribute to our marketing and sales department and our distributor Fontana/Universal. These young guys have a lot of talent and are just a great group," said SMC CEO Ralph Tashjian. The group first made headlines in 2006, when their trendsetting hit single "Vans," took over the airwaves. It was named No 5 in the Rolling Stone's Top 50 songs list for that year, and has sold 300,000 to date. With their newest release already breaking out to some great numbers, the party is truly just beginning. "Wolfpack Party" is in stores now.
