Memphis, TN (Top40 Charts/ Tygereye Entertainment) - When the five members of Memphis rock band Blackberry Wednesday put their minds in motion, there is no telling where their songwriting will lead them. When the group released their latest edgy cross-genre rock album Start Again in April 2010, they had their sights set on creating visuals for the project that could touch fans on a global scale.

The remix of Blackberry Wednesday's single "Save Us From Ourselves" featuring Memphis rapper Jimmy Bonez combines powerful rock and hip hop to make a strong statement about the effects of British Petroleum Oil spill. It's no secret that this tragic event has affected the oceans, wildlife and food supply, as well as the jobs and well-being of entire communities in the Gulf Coast and beyond.

Lead singer Rodney Ryan Henson explains that the oil spill was so saddening that Blackberry Wednesday just had to bring Jimmy Bonez in to help speak their piece. "We thought about doing the remix on the song because I felt like the message about the problem wasn't coming across. This is what we are doing to the world. What I hope people get from the "Save Us From Ourselves" video is just awareness, because when you're a musician you have the voice, and we want to take that opportunity."

As demand for live performances in the South continues to pick up speed, the band has been enjoying the admiration of their ever-growing fanbase. Despite the busy schedule, they've managed to lock in new videos in support of Start Again, and have ideas in mind for more creative remixes. In just two weeks, Blackberry Wednesday will debut the official video for "Hey I," yet another stunning track from the Start Again album.

Blackberry Wednesday's ability to fuse influences throughout nearly every genre, from heavy metal, pop and hip hop to jazz and classical, sets them apart from many of the traditional American country rock peers.

'The band just keeps progressing,' explains guitarist Chris Leerskov, who is also affectionately known as Batman. 'I think Start Again is a great introduction to who Blackberry Wednesday is. We're a group of guys that won't take no for an answer, and we're completely motivated and dedicated to making this our lives. We're hopeful to share that with the world, and that's what everybody wants for us. In the future it'll only get better for us. Nobody's afraid to pull influences from the wildest spots, and I think what's so exciting about the group is the influence. The sky's the limit!'
