Music Awards) - Part of the 20-year-old Los Angeles
Music Awards tradition of holding great live events, the annual Voting Party, features all one hundred and twenty five nominees in twenty five musical categories along with their combined fan bases in attendance at one very big event.
Almost one thousand artists and fans attended last year, making this year's event even bigger. All paid entrants receive a ballot and a pen (or pencil) to mark their ballots.
Attendees are encouraged to stay for the entire show and lend their ears and votes to all twenty five categories. There will be nine live LAMA Nominees performing four songs each. Votes will be tallied as ballots are returned from exiting patrons and the winners will be announced at midnight. Recipients chosen at this event will receive two VIP complimentary tickets to the Red Carpet Event on November 18 and a plaque handed to them on the Red Carpet. Acknowledgment will be given from the podium to every recipient at the Red Carpet Event. Door charge for those interested in participating as voters is $15.00.
Thursday, November 18th, 2010 @ The Paramount Theater, 5555 Melrose Ave. on the lot at Paramount Studios, in Hollywood. This once-a year Red Carpet Event, woven into the fabric of historical events held in the city of Los Angeles, is the single biggest event of the year for independent artists and bands not just in L.A,. but all over the world. This is an international event with participants from all around the globe. This year's event will feature ten vendors, an outdoor stage and bar, plus a V.I.P. pre-event food and cocktail reception. The benefiting charity is the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Research Foundation, which will provide a silent auction at the show. Ticket purchasers who buy a V.I.P. ticket will get into the pre-event party and also have a reserved seat inside the Theater.
The producers of the event have already sold out more than half the venue, with the remaining tickets to be sold to the general public. All remaining V.I.P. seats are located down in the front section of the Theater, making them a great buy.
