Sacramneto, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Slight Of Hand Official Website) - Slight Of Hand, the Sacramento area's No 1 Cover Band, will be recording a new album this Fall, announced SOH front person/lead vocalist, Tim Hamilton. Hamilton, who is an attorney by day, was recently profiled in California's oldest daily newspaper, the MOUNTAIN DEMOCRAT. Slight of Hand is managed by Frank Hannon, one of the founding members of renowned rock band, Tesla.

Slight Of Hand - who recently performed at "Unleash The '80's" and "Cranestock" festivals - consists of some of Sacramento's finest musicians: Tim Hamilton (keyboards, lead vocals); Cameron West (guitars, keyboards, vocals); Dave Schafer (guitars, vocals); new member Joel Kruger (bass), from Frank Hannon's band; and Mike Gunn (drums, percussion). Many of SOH's members have either played with, or currently perform with, other bands - West (who fronts The Grumpy); Gunn (Elvin Bishop band, Renegade); and Schafer (David Schafer Band). SOH first began as a Rush tribute band, but has evolved into a multi-faceted group now performing a wide array of dance and rock covers from the '70s through the '90s, including songs by Scorpions, Pearl Jam, INXS, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Journey, Aerosmith, Dishwalla and many others.

"When we do a song, we want our rendition of the tune to be so good that it takes the audience back to when they first heard the song, says Hamilton in explaining Slight Of Hand's musical philosophy. "Although no easy task," adds Hamilton, "it is a labor of love. I mean, I can remember when we would have to do six and seven shows a week and travel between clubs with no days off for months on end to earn a living. Now we play music because it's what we want to do. We have afforded ourselves this luxury...we have paid our dues, and now its time to have fun!"

"Each Slight Of Hand show is never the same," continues Hamilton. "We strive to play to the mood of the crowd and the place we are at. Our experience of playing in so many clubs over the years for so many people has created diversity in the band that is reflected wherever we play."
And what do people think of SOH's covering all their favorite band's music? "Feedback has been great," Hamilton states without hesitation. "We see that there are many people in the area that truly dig classic rock!"
