DUBLIN (Reuters) - Irish pop star Sinead O'Connor has married her journalist boyfriend in a secret ceremony, it was reported on Friday. According to the Irish Mirror tabloid the 35-year-old singer married British reporter Nick Sommerlad in Ireland three weeks ago in a service attended by a handful of close friends. The couple, who met in Dublin where Sommerlad, 27, works for the Press Association news agency, announced their engagement in June. O'Connor, who is divorced and has two children, has had several highly publicized affairs with journalists, having split most recently with diarist Dermot Hayes after a two-year relationship. The singer made headlines in the 1990s when she ripped up a picture of Pope John Paul II during an appearance on a U.S. television show, and for refusing to perform in New Jersey if the national anthem was played before her appearance.
