NY (Country.com) - Though they don't appear as a group in nominations for the 12th annual International Bluegrass Music Awards, members of Alison Krauss & Union Station are all over the ballot as individuals.

Union Station guitarist and vocalist Dan Tyminski, who rose to national prominence as the singing voice of George Clooney in O Brother, Where Art Thou?, is in the running for male vocalist of the year, guitarist of the year and emerging artist of the year. He competes with himself for song of the year with "I Am a Man of Constant Sorrow" from O Brother, and two songs from a solo album: "Carry Me Across the Mountain" and "I Dreamed of an Old Love Affair." The O Brother soundtrack and Tyminski's Carry Me Across the Mountain are nominated for album of the year.

Nominations were announced today (Aug. 9) by Steve Wariner and Rhonda Vincent at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville. The International Bluegrass Music Association will present its awards Oct. 4 at the Kentucky Center for the Arts in Louisville. Wariner will host.

Tyminski and Union Station bassist Barry Bales have nominations for instrumental album of the year and recorded event of the year for their contributions to the album Knee Deep in Bluegrass: The AcuTab Sessions. Bales is up for bass player of the year, and Union Station's Jerry Douglas vies for Dobro player of the year. Douglas also could win an award for his participation on Music From Rancho deVille, up for recorded event of the year.

Krauss shares a nomination with Gillian Welch for gospel recorded performance of the year, for "I'll Fly Away" from O Brother.

Other top nominees include The Lonesome River Band, Rhonda Vincent & The Rage, The Lynn Morris Band, The Del McCoury Band and The Nashville Bluegrass Band. Ricky Skaggs' Big Mon: The Songs of Bill Monroe, is up for recorded event of the year and album of the year, while Nickel Creek are up for entertainer of the year and instrumental group of the year.

The Carter Family - A.P., Sara and Maybelle - will join the Bluegrass Hall of Honor.
