State Music) - This week sees two huge releases coming out from the ultra hot South African House genre which has delievered some of the most played tracks in Ibiza and the festivals this summer including Dj Mujava's Township Funk and Mzo Bullet's Casablanca. Township Funk is the first commercially available album to be released in this genre. . Run Against the Wind which is also out this week is one of the stand out tracks from the album.

A fusion of the up-tempo township music from post-apartheid South Africa (also called Pretoria House ) and house music it contains elements of rap, techno, Chicago house and tribal chants. Together creating a raw energy that's not only been a hit among music fans worldwide but has got the likes of Radio 1, NME, FACT, Music Week, Guardian, Mixmag and DJ Mag to stand up and notice.

RUN AGAINST THE WIND - DJ STORM (Inc Andy and Jaymo Mix)
One of the tracks from the album also gets a release. South African dj/producer DJ Storm drops his for iO Music / NewState with Run Against The Wind, a slice of township tech-funk, that's full of African rhythms, synth chimes and subtle afro influences wrapped in an electronic shell of house music beats. Radio 1's 'In New Djs We Trust' duo Jaymo & Andy George step up for the remix and take the track on a piano driven, twisted bassline journey, adding a female vocal sample for extra impact.
