New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - HBO recently premiered "The Promise: The Making of
Darkness on the Edge of Town" to an ecstatic critical response. The film is but one disc of a 3-CD/3-DVD deluxe package Columbia Records will release on November 16. The deluxe package also includes a live concert film of 'Darkness On The Edge Of Town,' which features the current E Street Band performing the seminal album in its entirety at Asbury Park's Convention Hall in 2009. Including these two films, the deluxe edition comprises the re-mastered album, never-before-seen studio and live footage, and 21 previously unreleased songs. It is six hours of film and more than two hours of audio. The 21 previously unreleased songs will also be available separately as a 2-CD set called 'The Promise.'
