Martin Atkins will be giving a free seminar entitled "Band Tune Up" on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010 at Madison Media
Institute from 12:00pm to 4:00pm in the Building B Theater. The seminar is free and open to the public. Those interested in attending may register at www.bandtuneup.eventbrite.com. Seats are limited.
There will also be an Open House taking place at Madison Media Institute from 10am to 2pm for those who would like to tour the campus or meet with an Admissions or Financial Aid Representative before the seminar.
The Martin Atkins Band Tune Up is designed to make a concrete difference in a band's world, give an instant boost to critical entrepreneurial skill sets, and change the way an artist approaches business. The event is an intense, crash course style seminar covering touring, strategy, merchandising, screen printing, promotion, marketing, and how to make a show an event.
For over three decades, Martin has been at the cutting edge of where the entertainment industry is and where it's headed. Atkins currently teaches at Madison Media Institute leading courses on Touring, Advanced Entrepreneurship, Artist and Event Management, and Online Marketing. When he's not teaching, you can find him on the road, consulting with artists and organizations, or working on his next book, Band:Smart.
Atkins wrote his book Tour:Smart in 2007 and has since spoken around the world at major industry conferences, recognized universities, and nonprofit organizations.
