NEW YORK (Beatles Fans Website) - The copy of John Lennon and Yoko Ono's Double Fantasy LP that Lennon autographed for Mark Chapman hours before he was murdered is up for sale.

The album was found hidden behind a planter near the entrance of New York's Dakota apartment building shortly after Lennon was gunned down by Chapman on December 8, 1980.

It is being offered for $400,000 by Momentsintime.com which describes it as "the most important piece of historic rock memorabilia ever".
According to Momentsintime.com, the album bears the signature of John Lennon and is dated 1980. The cover and dust jacket contain forensically enhanced fingerprints of Chapman.
