The couple got together four months ago after Ellis Bextor split up from Andy Boyd, her manager and boyfriend of six years.

In a message on her official website, she said: "I've always wanted to be a mum and Richard and I are really excited. We're looking forward to starting a family."
Ellis Bextor released her new album, 'Shoot from the Hip', at the end of October; new single 'I Won't Change You' will be out on 29 December.
