Washington, DC (Top40 Charts/ Native Deen Official Website) - Native Deen, an internationally recognized Muslim hip-hop group, recently released a new music video calling on its audience to turn to God and remain steadfast in faith, especially during difficult times. The music video titled, "I am Near," is the group's first single and official music video off of its latest album, "The Remedy."

The video is set in present-day America and tells a story that many people of different faiths and backgrounds can relate to in the current recession - a story about how a parent, who loses his job and is forced out of his home, struggles to make ends meet and keep the family together. Watch the full-length, eight-minute music video at: www.nativedeen.com

The fast-paced video is laced with positive messages of faith, tolerance, forgiveness and redemption; however, Native Deen hopes that at least one main message reaches the viewers.

"Everyone faces struggles in life," said Abdul-Malik Ahmad, one of three artists that make up Native Deen. "This song serves as a reminder to us all that while we face many challenges in life, we can never afford to lose our faith in God. Without it, we have nothing. With it, we have everything."

In the main chorus, Native Deen sings: "When they ask about me, my servants, I am near/Have no doubts about me, and know I hear your prayer/Take one step towards me, and I'll come running to you/Just have faith and believe, and know I listen to you."

Native Deen, a Muslim fusion hip-hop group, has inspired millions of people of all ages and ethnicities from around the world. It has toured more than 60 cities in America, Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East, promoting Islam and positive interfaith relations. Over 4 million people have viewed its videos on YouTube, and its album, "Not Afraid to Stand Alone" is ranked No 2 in the DC area on independent music site cdbaby.com.

Native Deen have also been covered by CNN, Washington Post, Al Jazeera, PBS, MSNBC among many others, for its various songs about Islam, spirituality, and interfaith relations.
