Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ Webster PR) - Just months after announcing her departure from the Pussycat Dolls, Ashley Roberts releases her solo single on the new B-Sharp Records/SRR Labels. A thumping, dance floor redux of 'Theme From A Summer Place,' the track is already invading clubs throughout the world and stirring her fans into a BPM frenzy.'

A member of The Pussycat Dolls since 2001, Roberts left the group earlier this year to embark on a solo career after 6 Top 10 singles and two Top 10 albums with the group. She soon began working with longtime music manager and producer Qadree El-Amin (Janet Jackson, Boyz II Men, Vanessa Williams, Deborah Cox) on a Beautiful Vision Project and ended up with a club version of 'Theme From A Summer Place,' a number one smash and Grammy-winning Record of the Year when it was originally released by Percy Faith and His Orchestra. The song's lush and timeless melody inspired producer Qadree El-Amin to collaborate with Roberts on a beat-driven remake and brought in B-Sharp founder Bruce Walker to Produce the track and Executive Produce the project. A successful music executive and producer (formerly Senior Vice President of A&R at Motown and General Manager at DreamWorks Records), Walker helmed the recording along with Jacques Richmond, mixing clips from the original song with bass heavy club beats. The intoxicating track immediately caught the ear of club DJ's spinning on the international circuit and is quickly becoming a worldwide phenomenon.

'I loved the idea of recording the 'Theme From A Summer Place' from the moment I first heard it, said Ashley. It's so beautiful and to be able to take such an incredible song and introduce it to a whole new audience through a completely different style of music is an amazing feeling.' 'Ashley is the perfect artist for this; her voice matches the sweeping beauty of the original track and her personality brings it right into the clubs,' adds Bruce Walker. 'We're thrilled to launch B-Sharp Records/SRR Records with Ashley and 'Summer Place.' The music business is faster paced and more competitive than ever as single download sales continue to increase and appear to be the consumer favorite. The vision behind this singles label is to provide an immediate avenue to get music from incredible new artists out of the studio and into your iPod.'

The new label will focus on releasing digital singles worldwide, specifically in the R&B and Pop formats. B-Sharp/SRR will serve as a launching pad for releases from both established and new artists, with full scale marketing, promotion and artist development efforts behind every track. Notes SRR Senior Vice President Mike Jason: 'We believe in great music and this new singles-driven approach gives us the opportunity to present amazing artists like Ashley online and on the radio quickly, without having to wait for a full studio album to be recorded. We can get music to the fans who love it in a matter of days instead of months.' Added Time Life/SRR Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Partnerships, Michael Mitchell, 'When Bruce Walker brought us the idea of the singles label we immediately recognized the opportunity to respond to the market quickly by being able to release hot new music digitally and at radio. We were also excited about the opportunity to work with Ashley and Qadree El Amin.' SRR Records is a division of Saguaro Road Records, a record label launched by Time Life in 2008.
