New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ APTN) - Fans of APTN's Arbor Live will be sleeping easy for the next year, as the program as been picked up for a third season and season two will re-air starting December 7, 2010 running through to March 2011.
If the second season was any indication of the program's penchant for outdoing itself, fans have much to look forward to. This last season built on the success of the first by featuring guest musical performances from international sensations like The Crystal Method. Tommy Lee, Slayer, Chickenfoot, Zakk Wylde, Black Label Society, Staind, The Scorpions, Fishbone and Mastadon. Staying true to its Canadian roots, the season also featured emerging Aboriginal and Canadian talent such as Suzie McNeil, Grady, Chantal Kreviazuk, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Mother Mother, Shane Yellowbird, Moneen Priestess, Domenica and You Say Party!

Likened to a musical cross between The Larry Sanders Show and The Office, the premise of Arbor Live centres around three Native guys running a fast-paced music variety show with complete ineptitude. Rock-guitarist Stevie Salas plays the show's host, alongside his comedic director 'Steelbird' and their 'assistant,' played by movie star Eric Schweig. Arbor Live is produced by Arbor Television Inc., a company which was jointly created in 2006 by Grammy nominated, Juno award winning producer Brandon Friesen and award winning broadcast producer/writer/director and founder of StrongFront A/V Jesse Green.

Since the show's storylines require the musical guests to both perform and act, Arbor Live undoubtedly benefits from the rich histories of its leading men. Salas was discovered by funk legend George Clinton when he was just a teenager. Over his twenty-five year career in the music industry he has played sold out stadiums, written hit songs, been named one of Guitar Player Magazine's Top 50 Guitarists of All Time playing with such artists as Mick Jagger, Bootsy Collins, Rod Stewart and Justin Timberlake and for the last four years has served as a consultant and musical director for 19 Ent/American Idol.

An accomplished multi-disciplinary artist in his own right, Schweig is a Canadian actor best known for his role in the critically acclaimed film The Last of the Mohicans. He has also appeared in Squanto: A Warrior's Tale, Ron Howard's The Missing, The Scarlet Letter, Tom and Huck, Big Eden, Skins and Cowboys and Indians: The J.J. Harper Story. He is also well respected in the art of carving Inuit Spirit Masks, and is currently filming the third season of Cashing In with the previous two seasons airing on APTN & BRAVO.

Fans can look forward to many more shenanigans to come from the characters of Arbor Live. Look out Corner Gas; this show is scaling the ranks of Canadian comedy, and could be a household staple before too long.
