LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ Galena Street East) - It's the most wonderful time of the year for the Sacramento region as Galena Street East presents its 39thAnnual "Holiday Tapestry" Christmas program on December 10 - 11, 2010. Featuring songs and dances of the Christmas season, this talented group of performers from the Sacramento area will take audiences on a spectacular musical journey. The exciting repertoire includes spectacular lifts, clogging, tap dancing, international folk dances from around the world, holiday-themed musical numbers, and even a dance number in the style of the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes.

"Audience members can anticipate a program that will definitely light up their holiday spirit," said Jeri Clinger, artistic director for Galena Street East. "As these young performers showcase their talents, audience members will see a light in the eyes of these talented performers that comes from their love of music, dance and the beautiful holiday season."

Clinger, along with her husband Richard, began the group in 1972 and have been directing the group ever since. Assisted by choreographer, Ron Cisneros, Galena Street East has become a premier group for the training of young performers. They have been recognized by Sacramento Magazine as one of the "Best in Sacramento" for performing groups and have been featured on KCRA-TV's A-List. Many of the group's alumni have been or are currently cast as professional performers in Broadway shows, while others have stayed in the area and are putting their children through the program.

"It's so exciting to see a second generation of performers come through, and discover their own passion and love for the performing arts," said Clinger.

Tickets for the show are $15 for General Admission and $12 for students. Tickets are available by calling 916-731-4090 or by purchasing them at the door. Performances will be held at the Hiram Johnson High School Auditorium in Sacramento with showtimes beginning at 7:00 pm on December 10, a 1:00 pm matinee on December 11, and 7:00 pm evening show on December 11 as well.
