New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Ciara Fans Website) - Grammy Award winner and multi-platinum recording artist Ciara gets back to basics pursuing her creative vision on her forthcoming album, 'Basic Instinct'. Executive produced by Ciara, Tricky Stewart, The Dream and Mark Pitts, the singer's anticipated fourth album will be released through Sony Music Australia on December 10th, 2010.

Basic Instinct features the new uptempo single "Gimmie Dat" which is at Australian radio now. The video directed by Melina and Ciara, showcases Ciara's signature jaw dropping moves and feisty beats.

Initially heightening anticipation for Basic Instinct was the sexy, sensual first single "Ride". The mid-tempo track, produced by Tricky Stewart and The Dream, features frequent Ciara collaborator Ludacris, who adds a devilishly clever verse to the song. "Ride" was received well in the US with the single peaking at No. 3 on the Urban Mainstream chart. The sultry video-set off by Ciara's unparalleled, lithe dance moves-boasts more than 15 million YouTube views.

Basic Instinct marks Ciara's return to her signature style of uptempo dance grooves. "Now it's time to go back, it's time to throw on my sneakers, it's time to just really get bossy for a couple of seconds," said Ciara.

The 25 year old first came to national attention in 2004, 3 x Platinum debut album 'Goodies' which spawned the US No 1 hits 'Goodies, "1,2 Step' featuring Missy Elliott and 'Oh'' featuring Ludacris. These singles were big in Australia with -; 'Goodies' a Top 20 GOLD single, '1,2 Step' was No 2 Double Platinum selling single and Oh' was a Top 10 Platinum selling single. Ciara followed up with her US platinum-certified sophomore album in 2006, 'Ciara: The Evolution' which contained her US No 1 'Promise' and the provocative 'Like A Boy'. Her last album 'Fantasy Ride' spawned the Top 5 ARIA PLATINUM single 'Love Sex Magic' featuring Justin Timberlake.

Ciara visited Australia for the first time last month as part of the Summerbeatz tour which saw her perform nationally alongside industry greats; Akon, Flo Rida, Jay Sean, Travie McCoy and Australia's Stan Walker.
