 New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ RoadRunner Records) - That's right, folks! Opeth will start the recording of their 10th studio album on the January 31st, 2011. The band has picked the legendary Atlantis studios (ex Metronome studios) in Stockholm and will once again work with Jens Bogren on engineering. Mixing duties will be handled by Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree). Possible release worldwide in the fall of 2011. Stay tuned for more information as the guys begin work on their forthcoming album. Opeth have just marked their 20th anniversary with six special shows around the world, where they playedBlackwater Park in its entirety. To commemorate the career landmark, the April 2010 performance at London's Royal Albert Hall was committed to DVD with In Live Concert at the Royal Albert Hall and released earlier this Fall.
