New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Aquetra Media) - It may have been the year of the tiger in the Chinese Zodiac but it was the year of the "Adam" in the GLBT pop music world. RSTAR Publicity is happy to announce that as eyes were turned to a music video voting countdown this Saturday for MTV's gay themed Logo network's Click List Top 10 Videos of 2010, there was not one, but two popstars named Adam nailing top honors. Adam Lambert, with his music video for "Whataya Want From Me" came in the fifth spot, while Adam Barta with his video for "VIP," sailed up to No 2, according to Logo's official website, LogoTV.com. Both videos competed among 40 others to land in the top 10 for the year, which was shown on a special edition on the channel on Saturday, December 4th. Voting was open October through December at logotv.com. Both videos had previously been on Logo's weekly countdown throughout the year; Barta's "VIP" had been on the weekly countdown over 16 weeks.

What's ironic yet significant is the constant comparison between the two singers. Earlier in the year, an About.com write-up claimed Barta had "true authenticity" and "was rocking this look BEFORE Glambert even started on American Idol," however due to the fact that Lambert has garnered more public notoriety, it is Barta who is often accused of emulating Lambert's style. This competition put them head-to-head with the best of GLBT music videos of the year, all vying for a top spot. It seems the public has spoken and embraced them both.

However, Barta has taken it in stride, saying publicly he would love to collaborate with Lambert because he "is an amazing performer and artist, and has a great sense of his art."

Adam Barta's is no stranger to the top spot on a Logo countdown, Barta's previous music video for his single "Standing in the Rain," with DJ Russ Harris, had snagged the top spot on Logo's Click List Top 10 Ultimate Sexiest Music Videos last Fall. The song was also picked as one of the official "Fist Pumping Beats" for the cast of the Jersey Shore on website of New York's hit music station, Z100. In addition to airing on the Logo network all summer, "VIP" was also visible on HBO networks, as well as MTV 2 and bpm:tv in Canada. Barta is currently filming a reality show called "Made for MANhattan" which will air next year and is working on new music with Kathy Sledge (from Sister Sledge), and rapper Carlprit, who can be found on the dance hit "Evacuate the Dancefloor" with Cascada.

He achieved his musical success under Shakir Entertainment, who recently signed an A&R deal with Kat DeLuna's music label, GMB Music Group (affiliated with Universal Records). His publicity team recently secured features for him in New York Newsday, Gooth and Grab magazines, and is helping with his national radio campaign.
