NEW YORK (A&M announcement) - The Black Eyed Peas were celebrating today after passing the one million mark for international sales (ex-US and Canada) of their A&M records album Elephunk, which has now sold two million copies worldwide.
Heralding an astonishing year which also saw the Los Angeles-based fourpiece perform alongside Justin Timberlake at the MTV Europe Music Awards, the success of Elephunk mirrors the phenomenal global smash hit single Where Is The Love?.

With sales of 1.4 million, Where Is The Love? is set to be crowned the most successful international single of 2003 having notched up No.1's in eleven countries, including the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Denmark, Belgium, Holland and Switzerland, alongside eight straight weeks at the top of the Top40-Charts European singles charts.

The Black Eyed Peas have extensively toured in Europe this autumn supporting Christian Aquilera and Justin Timberlake. In February 2004, the band will return to Europe for headline shows.

The new single Shut Up is already shaping up to be another major hit according to Top40 Charts 'Airplay Monitor', having debuted in the Top 3 in the United Kingdom and Germany.
