LONDON, UK (Interactive Awards Website) - Robbie Williams and Westlife were among artists to win awards celebrating the best in interactive music. Organisers of the Interactive Music Awards said 2003 saw the industry "wake up" to new ways of accessing music.

The awards celebrate the best use of interactivity in artist websites, online radio, downloads, interactive shows or use of mobile devices.

The launch of iTunes in the US, EMI's announcement that it would put almost its entire catalogue online and a re-launched, legal, Napster are just some of the highlights of the year organizers said.
Also, mobile phones have become the frontline for music fans. Especially, ringtones often outsell the singles they are taken from(!), mobile services can tell users the name of a song playing in the background, and the UK's first music download service for mobiles has recently been launched.
