New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - 22-year-old Sahara Smith is having a breakthrough year with recent performances on The Late Show with David Letterman and NPR's World Cafe, a Glamour Magazine nod and plenty more remarkable critical acclaim for her debut album, 'Myth of the Heart' (Playing in Traffic Records).

In January, the "quickly rising starlet" (Austin American-Statesman) will hit the road on her third national tour (dates below) and release her second single, "Are You Lonely." For a taste, watch her perform "Are You Lonely" live at the Last.fm Discover Studio here: https://bit.ly/hdGSWo

Over the weekend, The NY Times' Texas edition highlighted 'Myth of the Heart' as an indie record store favorite in her hometown, Austin, TX. John Kunz, owner of the famed Waterloo Records, says, "There's a confident nature to her that comes through on the record and a real simplicity to everything that I think is unusual. She's young, sure, but it takes maturity to distill a song down to its simple essence. I guess you could say she's wise beyond her years."

Here's what press has said about 'Myth of the Heart':

"[A] rising talent...Her voice hits angelic highs reminiscent of Alison Krauss and Emmylou Harris." - LA Times

"[Sahara's] debut album invokes lazy summer nights and sweaty slow dancing. A must!" - Glamour

"Astonishing." - The Austin Chronicle

"She blends folk, Americana, country & bluegrass with the ease of Tom Waits, but does it with the gloss of Norah Jones." - San Jose Metro

"The striking, lanky redhead exudes confidence and grace before she even opens her mouth, but the real allure comes from her vocals." - Seventeen

"Smith's voice is completely timeless...['Myth Of The Heart'] is awesome work from a promising young talent." - Austin Monthly

"Smith's ethereal pipes pull you in, and her way with words keeps you there." - American Songwriter

"Smith's voice [has] the finesse of a mythical creature." - Venus Zine
