New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Young The Giant Official Website) - One of the most buzzed-about bands of 2010, SoCal rock outfit Young The Giant, has announced a U.S. headlining tour that will bring the band to cities across the country during January and February. Kicking off in Cambridge, MA, on January 18th, this run of Winter dates includes stops in Philadelphia, DC, Cleveland, Chicago, Minneapolis, Denver, Salt Lake City, Portland, Seattle and New York, where they will return for the first time since taking the city by storm during the CMJ Fest in October.

The band's self-titled debut album, produced by Joe Chiccarelli (White Stripes, My Morning Jacket), and live tracked at Sunset Sound Studios in LA, is due for physical release January 25th on Roadrunner Records. The Wall Street Journal called the album "vivid, vibrant rock...a pop masterpiece" while Amazon.com named it the No 3 rock album of 2010. The album was released digitally on October 25th.

Rousing lead single "My Body," currently No 8 on the Alternative Specialty Chart, has been quickly gaining traction at alt rock radio stations such as KROQ Los Angeles, KROX Austin, KNDD Seattle, KNRK Portland and WFNX Boston as well as Sirius XM Alt Nation. On December 13th, Young The Giant will play the KROX holiday show 101X Austin Christmas Show in Austin, TX, along with Cold War Kids.

Newport Beach, CA's Young The Giant's unique brand of sun-soaked rock has received praise from music critics and fans alike, including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, NME, Billboard, Nylon, MTV.com, AOL Spinner and FilterMagazine.com. Vocalist Sameer Gadhia, a charismatic and commanding front man, leads the band's high octane live show with arena-sized hooks and rich, honeyed vocals. The band's diverse ethnic backgrounds - Indian, Persian, British, and French-Canadian among them - translate into an incredibly dynamic sound that offers jazz rhythms, surf pop harmonies, Mediterranean and Caribbean influences, flashes of jolting alt rock and so much more. With Sameer jumping between two mics, and even stomping on a tambourine, danceable rhythms and heart-pounding drum patterns give way to soaring choruses and chiming guitars, making for one of the most memorable live shows you'll see all year. Be sure to catch Young The Giant during these headlining dates!

Young The Giant will play their first shows overseas in the UK and Germany in February 2011. Watch this space for upcoming announcements of additional dates!
