ROME, Italy (Lauryn Hill Fan Website) - Ex-Fugee Lauryn Hill has apparently insulted and shocked the Vatican during a Christmas concert Saturday night sources say. The show, attended by high priests within the church, found Hill reading a statement in which she was quoted in La Repubblica newspaper as saying, "I realize some of you may be offended by what I'm saying, but what do you say to the families who were betrayed by the people in whom they believed, and what do you say to those children who were violated in body and mind?"

It is expected her speech and performance will be cut from the concert when it is aired on Italian TV on Christmas Eve.
Furthering her tirade, Hill went on to say that she doesn't "believe in representatives of God on earth." That being said Lauryn; this might be a tough crowd for you to win over. Organisers of the concert have said it is likely her outburst and performance will not appear in the final cut.
