NEW YORK (Eminem Fan Websites) - Eminem has blocked The Source magazine's plan to distributing a previously unreleased song featuring the rapper using offensive racial terms.

The magazine had planned to include a CD of the song in an upcoming issue, which will be devoted entirely to the controversy over the song. Eminem has issued two apologies for the song, which he claims was recorded when he was a "foolish and angry" 15-year-old.
Lawyers for the rapper were granted an injunction preventing the magazine from going through with the plan.

The Source says it will not delay their special issue, and that it has its own attorneys on the case to determine their next move. Eminem has said that the controversy was "really nothing more than blatant self-promotion for a failing magazine They're scared of what can happen if the hip-hop community shows it can live without them."
