New York, NY (Top40 Charts/WCPE FM) WCPE Community and Arts Liaison Tara Lynn announces a new Local Arts Series at Quail Ridge (LA@QR). Each month a new local arts organization will talk about its mission and one of its upcoming performances. Each event in the series also includes a performance aspect. This series is designed to be as entertaining as it is educational.
"This is new territory for WCPE," say Lynn. "We will be more involved than ever before."
"Long term, we hope to boost attendance for arts performances," she continues.
Lynn hopes to showcase the innovation she has been noticing as WCPE's Arts Liaison. She is impressed by the way arts groups are always adapting to engage the community. She designed this series as a sampler to help individuals find the projects and performances they most enjoy. WCPE is looking forward to working with more arts groups in the future and, together, focusing on community educational efforts. Lynn says the radio station is grateful to Quail Ridge Books and Music for their support and for giving this series a home. All of the events in the series are free and open to the public!
"I am delighted to have WCPE join us," offers Nancy Olsen, founder and owner of Quail Ridge Books and Music. "We are bringing live classical music programs through the WCPE Local Arts series."
"'Meet the Announcers' is a perfect way to kick off this exciting new series," she adds.
