Cr8net - A Major Creative Industries Conference
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ CIDA) Cr8net is an agenda-setting conference aimed at senior level professionals, decision makers and businesses responsible for services and products, which support the creative industries across the globe.

Dr Richard Florida, best-selling author of The Rise of the Creative Class and The Great Reset, will be delivering his first keynote speech in London.

Hosted by Natasha Kaplinsky (formerly of Channel 5 News) and chaired by John Newbigin, Cr8net will bring together leaders in the sector from across the globe to discuss the pressure points of the sector at the prestigious Royal Institution of Great Britain in Mayfair.

More than 10 speakers including Feargal Sharkey, CEO UK Music, John Howkins, author of the best-seller, The Creative Economy and John Newbigin, new Chair of Creative England will address delegates and debate on key topics including 'Creative entrepreneurship and new business models for the sector', 'Unlocking talent and the IP Review: to protect and serve', 'Big Society and creativity: expectations and opportunities', and 'Creative support agencies: are we still relevant?'.

All delegates will have the opportunity to submit 500 words (or less) highlighting the 'state of the industry' from their organisation's perspective. These contributions will be distilled into a 'white paper' by CIDA shortly after Cr8net.

"Cr8net aims to set the tone for a renewed relationship between Government and creative industries support agencies like CIDA, highlighting the importance of creative minds supporting creative minds to the Big Society and the economy". Toks Majek-Akisanya, CIDA's Head of Operations.
