The Train Wins Grammy Award For 'Hey, Soul Sister' From Their iTunes Session EP
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Sony Columbia Records) Multiplatinum band Train won their third Grammy Award last night as the iTunes Session version of their hit song "Hey, Soul Sister" took home the award for Best Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. Train's iTunes Session EP features original performances by the band available exclusively on iTunes. This award marks the first Grammy win for iTunes original content.

Train frontman Pat Monahan said, "It's been beyond our wildest dreams to have the success we have had this past year, and a Grammy completely takes it over the top. We can't thank our fans enough for always sticking with us."

"Hey, Soul Sister," the biggest-selling song of 2010, continues to reign at AC Radio and on sales charts as well. Certified five times Platinum by the RIAA, "Hey, Soul Sister" is the No 1 most downloaded song in Columbia Records history with more than 5 million legal downloads.

The band's current single, "Marry Me," has been certified gold. The song continues its ascent up the radio charts, and is currently reaching 24 million people in audience.

Train just completed a tour with INXS in Australia, and is gearing up for a Latin American run with Shakira as part of The Pop Music Fest. The band is planning to hit US amphitheaters this summer.
