NEW YORK (Billboard) - Less than a month after the planned July 10 release of her latest Island album, "Skin," Melissa Etheridge will hit the road to support the set with a North American solo tour. The "live...and alone" tour will kick off with three shows Aug. 6-8 at Washington, D.C.'s 1,850-capacity Warner Theatre. An Aug. 10 appearance as part of NBC's " Today" show Friday Concert Series in Rockefeller Center will be followed by a four-night New York stand Aug. 11-14 at the City Center. More dates will be confirmed in the near future. Prior to the tour, Etheridge will play July 22 on the second day of radio station KBCO Boulder's World Class Rockfest concert in Winter Park, Colo. Also on the weekend's bill are Sheryl Crow, Semisonic, Joan Osborne, the Radiators, Robert Bradley's Blackwater Surprise, Leftover Salmon, Ozomatli, Sonia Dada and Leo Nocentelli.
